The Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists released its 28th annual survey of drunk driving arrests. Naperville came in ninth for DUI arrests in Illinois.
The survey compares drunk driving arrests from across Illinois police agencies. The survey does not include the City of Chicago. A total of 567 departments were studied across the state for the survey that was funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The survey gives recognition for officers and agencies with the highest arrests. Naperville consistently ranks among the highest in Illinois. Naperville had 168 officers when the survey was conducted. The group made 271 DUI arrests.
